I’m currently in early recovery from drug addiction but my parents don’t quite understand addiction and i don’t know how to explain it to them. Does anyone know if there’s any good books about it that i can buy for them to help them understand more? Thank you!

I’m 17 years old and got alcohol poisoning and almost died this past weekend. My parents are sending me to a rehabilitation center for a month.
Within Australia, if there are ADOLESCENTS who are affected by substance abuse and who are seeking treatment decide to check into rehab or any form of clinic, is this form of treatment funded by the government? Or do parents, guardians etc. have to pay for such treatment? Thanks in advance
Consider celebrities who are viewed as examples for minors and other easily influenced individuals. Some of these celebrities obtain their "coolness" from drug use and irresponsible behavior. A friend of mine has a Vicodin problem and I was just wondering if children are allowed to go to rehab. He is 13. His parents can afford it I am just curious if he would be allowed to go. Would a school excuse the absences?
