recover with out treatment?
Can a person recover from a crack addition with out drug treatment? A friend of mine has a crack addition hes spent all his money and says hes done. but i’m afraid with out treatment, the next amount of money he gets he will use it on his addition.

it can always be done but it depends on whether he really wants to. It’s like a smoker that decides to quit smoking or an alcoholic that decides to quit drinking. Do they really want to quit?
There’s 2 things. He may get clean because he ran out of money and can’t buy drugs, but he needs to get sober. Getting sober is changing, learning other ways to cope, facing your issues. At the very least, he needs Narc. Anon, which is free.

Very hard to do without treatment. Chances are when he gets money, he will use again.
In fact, most addiction experts agree that it is even best to leave your surroundings during treatment, so that you are not tempted back to your old life.
Good luck, but without treatment, his chances are slim to none.
