Hey, there. Congratulations on finding something that works for you. Just as a note, you won’t OD on opiates while on naltrexone unless you take an amount that you would OD on normally. The danger of OD comes if you megadose to try to power past the naltrexone.
If you take your normal opiate dose while on naltrexone, all that will happen is that you’ll lose interest in taking opiates. Google “The Sinclair Method” for details.

Read about the Sinclair Method on the internet to show how naltrexone really works. It works but not the way he says it does…

wouldnt this injection block the naturally occuring dopamine your brain needs to heal itself as your withdrawal comes to a close. im 25, opiate addict of 6 years, tried methadone, suboxone, cold turkey, taper etc… i made it 10 days clean cold turkey and relapsed. im currently on a taper schedule of oxycontin by mouth instead of the needle. needle junkies get addicted to the needle as well as the drug

side effect on naltrexone ??? Suboxone was NASTY for me. thoughts?

  6. recoverycounsel says:

there are almost no side affects to naltrexone.

  7. sheffwed69 says:

no, naltrexone blocks opioids, not dopamine. It may affect your mesocorticolimbic (reward) system which is mediated by opioids, but this isn’t considered to be a major problem by recovering patients.
