I’ve been on methadone replacement therapy for a year and a half now. I’ve had no relapses and have had a child while in therapy (with no withdrawal symptoms). I am now in the process of a slow tapering process called a blind detox – where I don’t know how much my dose is being decreased every week. I feel great. A sober life is a good life. It works if you follow the guidelines of the program!!
