Can that be understood as metaphor? No, it is just nonsense. No one would ever suggest understanding this religion as metaphor—so why do we try to understand other religions that way?

  2. sk8mike says:

What would the space opera story be a metaphor for? What does $cientology teach? They sure don’t teach to turn the other cheek. “Never treat a war like a skirmish. Treat all skirmishes like wars.”

because those others can make sense if you do.
(example: ‘let there be light = big bang)

    not so with scientology.
evne the most well thoughtout analogy will still be quite insane…

  6. MetaMorphy says:

I would suggest that the real cause is that those older religions have had more adherents attempting to metaphorise them over a longer peroid of time. The inventors of religion have never explicitly put forward their theologies as metaphor, and there is no evidence any of the major religions were intended to be thought of that way.

  7. Vertigo6911 says:

actualy there is ample evidence if u know where to look.
its circumstantial yes, but the sheer volume makes a strong case.
in any case it cannot be disproven, as it easily can with elron hubcap’s bullshit story.

  9. jayneshat says:

The treatments and courses undertaken by addicts in Narconon are similar if not the same as the courses in Scientology. The goal is to become “clear” just the same as a Scientologist.

you all realize there are websites that point out legal lawsuits and all the exposed information about narconon, including patients being arrested with their councelors for possession of heroin!!! and it was considered a size enough for their charge of “with intent” – I saw it very big

One of the most important things you can do to improve your life, is: Dont be a member of scientology.
If scientologists continue to intimidate you and your country dont wanna help you, what can you do about that? The most important thing in this case is simply (said in a decent way), well why should i help my country, if they dont wanna help me, including the reputation around the world. Believe me im good at it.
