Is there such a thing as a full recovery from meth addiction, where it is as if the person never did the drug?
Or are people forever changed, however imperceptibly, for the worst, no matter how long they’ve been away from the drug?

some physical/mental/emotional damage may be permanent, but we learn ways to cope with the results/wreckage of our past and move on.
once you quit using, you have to remain clean , you can never ever turn around and use socially,…
most recovering/recovered addicts resume or acquire as normal a life as they desire for themselves.
virtually all the recovered addicts i have known take painstaking care to maintain their physical/spiritual/emotional health by whatever means neccesary.
we cannot turn back the clock, so we learn from our experiences and move on with life!
No one ever recovers from an addiction, they are constantly recovering.
No, they will probably always struggle. They might have some permanent side effects.
u never fully recover… but you can resume a full life afterward… i was an active meth addict for about 3 years… that was about 5 years ago i know it changed me…. most physical recovery takes about 2-3 years after that must things are permenant
yes. dont listen to the doctors. if you want to recover fully, yes it is possible. i did it and people barely believe me that i was ever an addict and that i have od’d a couple of times from mixing drugs. i am now finishing college with honors! YES its possible but YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE its possible. AND YOU HAVE TO WORK VERY VERY VERy hard to accomplish this. you have to be in physical mental and emotional stability. you have to motivate yourself daily, weekly, and monthly. you have to have real GOALS and you have to take aciton to achieve those goals. you CANT LISTEN TO WHAT OTHERS tell you about it being impossible, they just don’t know that it is possible.
you cant ever touch the drug again, you have to cut off all friends who do that drug. you have to stop doing other drugs, not just meth ( not counting pot, you know). you have to give up your friends. you will find in the end that you are not trying to be the person you used to be, but you are becoming something beautiful and new.
ok, go rediscover yourself. i did and i would bet a million dollars that i was worse off than you are now. haha.
I think any person with an addiction has to make some sort of lifelong effort to stay clean, but it does get easier after a while.
I gave up cigs a week ago and its beginning to hit me today. My sweetheart keeps telling me I won’t keep going however I’m so serious about it I can. This morning I began getting pain inside my gut and I genuinely want a drag. I don’t give into the craving because I’m stopping smoking for my little one. I’m fortunate to have the smokeless cigarettes. It has been extremely helpful if you ask me.
