To get almost fully over it, it takes a year or so.
Drug Rehab can go from 28 days to 30 something, then most of the time they want you to go to a sober living place for about 3 months or so.
That gets a person through the roughest of times, but the effects of the drugs havent fully left the body.
Addiction is a lofe long thing. Once an addict, most people remain addicts for the rest of their lives. They need AA, NA or whatever organization they can get help from.
But just for the main recovery part I say a good 3-4 months. Then its up to the person to remain drug free on their own.
LIFETIME ONE DAY AT A TIME
it all depends on the patient and his/her doctor’s treatment plan.
Simple answer would be the degree of commitment of the individual addict.
That motivation always is created by the degree of pain, the addiction has suffered.
I would suggest that you find a N/A meeting in you area. Go to a "open" meeting, you may find addicts there that will talk with you about this matter.
depends on the person & medication & where /how they get treated. it could be for the rest of they life , or get treated & never need treatement again.
