When the waste water flow decreases nitrogen is added as a nutrient to replace the waste, how will this addition of 35% nitrogen affect the reactors PH levels.
depends on what is source of nitrogen.
If it is urea, initially pH may drop by a unit,
but then shoot up rapidly as ammonia is released.
If this nitrogen is amino acid, then pH will remain stable about 6.5.
