Breakthrough Vaccine to Treat Ovarian Cancer
Cancer Treatment Centers of America develops patient-specific vaccine therapy Medical experts say more than 15-thousand women will die this year from ovarian cancer. But there is hope for those stricken with the disease in the form of a promising new vaccine. The breakthrough treatment, created by Cancer Treatment Centers of America and AVAX Therapeutics, Inc., uses the patient’s own tumor tissues to create a patient-specific vaccine. Combined with local chemotherapy, the treatment avoids stressing the patient’s immune system and, therefore, helps to increase the vaccine’s effectiveness. Ovarian cancer is a complex disease — it’s difficult to diagnose and often resistant to chemotherapy. The treatment will be available to women whose cancer has recurred after chemotherapy. I am shocked by the responses to this good article about cancer vaccines. My wife died of cancer and I spent the last years of her life searching for treatments. vaccines are a wonderful hope and the Comments to this article are from people who should be ashamed of themselves although I suspect that they are too ignorant or emotionally disabled to have sense of guilt. There are no valid examples of people being cured of cancer by taking some natural remedy. These ideas are spread by people who make money off of the suffering of people with cancer and no one should pay attention to them. I met many people while my wife was ill who had chosen to drink some herbal concoction and follow a naturopathic remedy and were dying sooner and with great suffering. A friend with colon cancer could have actually been saved with simple surgery and a few rounds of tretment when he was diagnosed but he listened to the idiots selling an aporicot seed-type remedy and he is now dead because of it. DO NOT BELIEVE these myths. Go to a great cancer center and get a doctor who is using the latest science to treat your cancer. Thanks for posting this important article!
