Abuse in Cambodian Drug Detention Centers
The Content in this video is for educational purposes only. Every year Men, Women, and Children are detained in 11 different Drug Detention Centers around Cambodia. The ‘treatment’ they receive is inhuman, and no law has been put in to stop it. Organizations Such as UNICEF and the UN Office for Drugs and Crime, have been encouraging the Cambodian Government to put an end to this. But what the Government needs is pressure from ALL of us. That will start with awareness. This short video Is for an Awareness project for the Modern Asian Perspectives Class at Singapore American School. Great video. I find it especially appalling that these are government institutions, and these things are being done to children. A government should be responsible for its people, not torture them.
The music and the ambiance was great for the topic, and really set the mood well.
I’ve been to Cambodia and its an amazing country – what a shame they have such problems
